04.10.16 – Photoshop Introduction

Throughout this workshop I created a number of images by applying the use of selection tools, layers, grids, guides and masks. These tasks developed my skills in Photoshop by acquiring me to utilise basic tools in a completely new manner to what I am used to.

The outcomes were simplistic but I felt restricted to these few tools. I found I could not achieve an effect that I believed would be fitting for a profile picture that reflected my style or personality. I enjoyed experimenting with new techniques, however I find more intricate, complex designs to be more attractive.

Overall, the session was useful and I will definitely use some of the tools in the future, such as the grid, to help with precision.
