My first two ideas are based on photographing Poundland’s products, either using different techniques or arrangements for a more stylised appearance. Idea 1 involves macro photography, with the concept of “Look a Little Closer”, taking a closer look at the shapes and details of everyday items that are taken for granted. This is probably my strongest idea.
The second ides is in the style of Tony Cragg’s work and some of the John Lewis print ads. I would arrange products in a particular way so the placement creates a larger image when photographed from a distance. This would invite the viewer to interact with the image more.
My final idea would utilise graphics rather than photography. I would create images of some of the products from the most recognisable brands you can find in Poundland and create them using typography. This would be the safest idea, and the weakest as it is quite a simple technique.
